THE
AIMS OF THE TRUST
1. Our first project Is to
provide a small family home for four young people where they will be
cared for in a loving stimulating environment on a 24 hour shift
basis. It will have a very informal atmosphere, where the young
people will have choices about what they do each day, including
involvement in the community and tapping into many community
activities. Their home will operate an open house for parents/carers
to visit or take their young son or daughter out for the day or home
for short periods of time.
2. The Trust aims to provide a Life Skill Centre with
creative specialist facilities which will offer stimulation, both
with physical and sensory therapies. In providing for the needs of
these young people the Trust recognizes that as well as meeting
their daily living needs they also have educational, emotional and
developmental needs to be met. The Trust is committed to enabling
them to develop to the maximum of their full potential and to
promote their
independence as far as it is possible.
3. To employ and train workers for Home Support, funded by
local authorities. We are committed to providing a high quality
service through caring, competent and well trained staff. Workers
would assist carers with their young adult within their own home, as
well as taking them out into the community and to the proposed Life
Skill Centre, making their lives more fulfilled. Each facility would
be made available based on the individual assessed needs of the
young people.
